Media: Classic Games Reduced to 15 Pixels
October 12, 2009 | 1:35 PM PST

What would games like Street Fighter, Parappa the Rapper, or Noby Noby Boy look like if developers only had 15 pixels to work with? British design group Alaskan Military School answered that question with a series of videos to promote the Gamecity festival taking place October 27 to October 31 in Nottingham, England.

It's surprising how much of the game's personality is preserved, even with such simple graphics.

If you thought the video was awesome, you can find two more after the break, as well as an explanation of what Gamecity is all about.

"GameCity is a lot of things, but most of all it's an ongoing project to find out what a videogame festival could be.
Unlike a lot of videogame events, it's not really a place to come and play them – we'd rather do that at home on the sofa. But if you do love videogames, you're going to find lots here to enjoy. We'd like to think that there's something at GameCity for anyone who's interested in interesting things."
