Yesterday we ran a story about a rumor regarding Kojima and a big announcement in three days. Today, CVG posted a scan of a Japanese magazine ad with the date 2009.5.18.
The page also has a URL (www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next) which leads to a page that isn't actually available yet. In any case, they've begun a rumor based on the image that is shown.
Bilingual internet peoples (and Google) say that the word Raiden (the name of the major Metal Gear Solid character, and the main playable character in MGS2) means "thunder and lightening" and, we've read, is also the alternative name for Raijin, a God of thunder and lightening in Japanese mythology.
This rumor also ties in pretty well with the rumor that was started at GDC. Another reason to believe that it is Metal Gear Solid related is the hidden image of Snake lying down in the form of the stormy clouds. I, for some reason or another, can't really see what they're talking about, but I figured you guys would like to know. Obviously we'll have more on this when the news actually breaks.
